The Discuss Button Has Disappeared From Channel Profiles on iOS
After the introduction of direct messages to channels, Telegram users on iOS discovered that they no longer have the option to open the discussion group from a channel's profile if discussion is enabled. The button that previously opened the discussion group now opens the direct messages chat.
The editorial team of @tginfoen does not know whether this is a bug or intended behavior by the developers. The issue likely appeared in Telegram for iOS version 11.12, when channels got direct messages.
For channels without direct messages enabled, the button still opens the discussion group.
It is still possible to open the group linked to a channel with discussion enabled. To do this, follow these steps:
1. Open any post of the channel and go to the comments.
2. Press and hold the “Back” button. The app will then show a list including both the channel itself and the group linked to it.
3. Select the group.

The problem has now been resolved. However, fresh posts published during the time of this disruption were not duplicated in the discussion group, which allowed commenting.

However, if you are an administrator of such channels with right to communicate with subs, then there will still be the button to open a linked group, due to the fact that you will not be able to answer yourself in monoforums.
Still, there are 2 ways to open such groups in such channels:
• open the comments and hold «Back».
• through @replies if you received a reply to your comment.

🏆 Students from St. Petersburg took first place in the main international programming championship (ICPC).👏 Congratulations on this impressive achievement to the champions — Leonid Danilevich, Maxim Turevsky, and Fyodor Ushakov. The guys represent SPbU — the oldest university in Russia.🥇 For the first time, the SPbU team took first place in the ICPC in 2000 and 2001, when my brother participated in it. Since then, St. Petersburg students have become absolute winners 10 more times, making this city a world leader in the number of championship titles.😼 Proud of the achievements of the university and the city — and I hope to personally congratulate the champions in Dubai. I will be glad if Telegram can assist in the implementation of their future projects and ideas.💫

t․me Link Previews Aren't Working
In Telegram, preview cards are no longer being generated under messages with Telegram's t․me links.
The links still open, even if they don't have a preview. Previews for old links continue to work.
The problem has been observed since at least 3 AM UTC and affects links to chats, channels, messages, stickers, stories, and profiles, among other things.

- breaking the toolbar when selecting contacts;
- breaking the message input field in horizontal orientation;
- open context menu in toolbar if you hold and move the so-called "bubble";
- the icon has been changed (in fact, only for the testflight page).
