The Cost for Bot Username Upgrades Decreased by 5 Times

Recently, the cost of upgrading usernames bought on Fragment for use on bots, has decreased from 5,000 TON to just 1,000 TON.

Since February, there has been a rapid increase in the value of TON. Although, it is unknown if this could be the reason.

Ability to View Peer IDs in Desktop Clients

In recent updates, Telegram Desktop and Telegram for macOS brought a new experimental feature which shows Peer IDs in profiles of chats.

Every account, group, channel, and bot in Telegram has its own digital identifier. @tginfo explains how to enable the display of these IDs in the official Telegram Desktop and macOS applications.

To see the peer IDs in profiles, you need to do the following:

For Telegram Desktop:
1. Install the latest version of the app
2. Log in to your account.
3. Go to Settings › Advanced Settings › Experimental Settings and enable the option Show Peer IDs in Profile.

For Telegram for macOS:
1. Install the latest version of the app
2. Log in to your account.
3. Go to Settings › General › Show Peer IDs in Profile

List of User's Groups and Channels in Telegram Desktop

In Telegram Desktop 4.16, a list of channels and groups where you are the owner has been added, found by right clicking the "New Channel" or "New Group" section located in the sidebar.

The list may not display private channels that you have left or those that you have deleted.

FAKE: "Telegram Ads Will Get Images and Carousel Galleries"

Some channels are spreading rumors claiming Telegram is preparing to introduce a new ad format inside the messenger. Particularly, interactive image carousels, ads between posts, and higher character limits are mentioned, along with other numerous additions.

For the source of the claims, the channels reference a Telegram story from Sales Manager at Magnetto․pro, an ad agency that specializes in Telegram Ads.

When asked by @tginfo's editors, a source closely related to Telegram insisted the claims are false, since the messenger isn't working at implementing such a functionality right now.

Recently, Telegram introduced a big refresh to the Ads platform, allowing advertizers to buy Telegram Ads in more countries using TON cryptocurrency. This might indicate the Ad Platform is still under active development — the company continues to explore new ways to monetize on its path to becoming profitable.

Telegram for Android and iOS Has Been Updated to Version 10.11

In the first update of April, Telegram received new features that allow all users to easily and quickly create their own stickers and entire sticker packs using the new powerful in-built sticker editor.

• "My Profile" tab: In the new section located inside the hamburger menu, users can see their profile as others would see it on Telegram, publish a new story or pin an old one, and much more.

• Built-in sticker editor: Now all users can create stickers using the built-in sticker editor. Based on the contents of the sticker, Telegram will automatically suggest the most suitable emoji that corresponds to to each sticker.

• Sticker Pack Editing: It's now possible to edit your own sticker packs directly on the sticker panel - for example, renaming them or changing the order of stickers in the pack. This can be done using the "Edit" button located next to your sticker packs name.

• Recommended channels: A "Channels" tab has appeared amongst the global search screen. It displays channels the user has recently joined, in addition to recommended public channels. It is probable the fundamental mechanics of this feature rely on the principle of the "Similar Channels" feature. They are based on the subscriptions of a particular user.

Other new features include: the ability to pin up to 3 posts in a profile, link preview for sticker packs, maximum number of reactions in a channel, notification settings for reactions, and the ability for Premium users to enable ads to display in channels.

Sticker Editor - Create Your Own Stickers

Telegram has published an article on their blog, which describes in detail about how to create new stickers and sticker packs through the built-in sticker editor, in addition to adding a sticker to a pack, expanding a sticker pack, and so on.

Changes in Monetization Terms

The terms of the ad revenue sharing platform have been updated regarding the withdrawal of funds. Channel owners are now required to withdraw their earned funds from their accounts in a timely manner. Any accumulated funds left in the platform's accounts may be canceled at the discretion of Telegram. There is no information available about the timeframe within which the tokens must be withdrawn.
