Trending Stickers

Trending Stickers are now shown above ‘Recently Used’ in your sticker panel. Tap 'Add' to save a pack for the future — the trending sticker section is one of the few things in this world that gets updated more often than the Telegram apps.
When you scroll through your packs at the top of the panel, the thumbnails expand and show the names of your sticker packs.

Choosing a Sticker

Similar to 'typing…' or 'recording a voice message', the apps now show a 'choosing a sticker' status at the top of the chat — so you know that your chat partner is still there, just looking for the perfect animated response.

The Beta version of Telegram for iOS has more information about sponsored messages.

"Telegram developed a paid tool to promote messages with user privacy in mind.", the explanation says.

Briefly about the important:
— No targeting.
— The ability to choose a channel for product promotion.

Telegram is introducing the viewers list for messages in small groups

Message tap menu shows how many views are there and last 3 viewers profile picture.
Clicking on it will take you to the entire list.

Voice/Video messages are counted as viewed only after they become played

Custom themes — only in personal messages

According to preliminary information, the custom themes will work only in personal messages and secret chats. Previously configured groups and channels themes are likely to be reset.

On the official Telegram translating platform, there are strings with information about who read the message will be stored for no more than 7 days.

"To protect privacy, views are stored for only 7 days," the function hint says.

In Telegram for Android Beta, some emojis got animations that cover the whole screen. Those emojis include: 🎆, 👍, 🎉, 💩, 🎈 and ❤️.

Also, when one side triggers the animation, it will appear for the other side too.

Recently @tginfochaten users started to ask if it's dangerous to press anything on the number confirmation banner.

Starting from the version 7.8, Telegram gained an option to regularly check your linked phone number and second-factor password.

After pressing "Yes", the banner will simply go, the "No" button will propose you to link your new phone number to the account.

Chat Themes
— Choose one of 8 preset themes for any of your private chats;
— Tap the (⋯) button › "Change Colors" to pick a theme;
— Both chat participants will see the same theme in that chat – on all their devices;
— All chat themes have day and night versions and will follow your overall dark mode settings.

Record Live Streams and Video Chats
— Record video and audio from live broadcasts in your group or channel;

Several sources close to Telegram reported that the reason for blocking the "Smart Voting" bot was the refusal of app stores to release the latest update of the messenger on their platforms.
