Some users asked whether comments will become the default mode for channels. While we think it’s fun to comment on channels, most channels don’t need commenting, so it will remain optional and disabled by default.
That said, native comments are a great upgrade for channels that had been previously relying on the web comments bot. Native comments are faster, more feature-rich for posting and moderating, and have built-in reply notifications.
Some users rightly pointed out that Telegram native comments look like chats rather than the two-level comments you can find on social networks. That’s exactly the point - Telegram is not a social network, but a messaging app.
While many people successfully use Telegram to distribute information among millions of users (posts broadcasted by channels generate over 350 billion views monthly), Telegram will remain an easy-to-use minimalist tool, with chats at the center of the user experience.

Chat owner anonymity by default
Now, if you create a chat through the group linking menu to the channel, the creator automatically becomes anonymous.
When assigning administrators, the creator will have to manually assign them anonymity permission. The role of the administrator will still be listed in the body of the message.
It is important to remember that chat administrators see the owner in the list of participants, as well as his activity in the "Recent activities" section.
A regular chat members will not be able to find out what messages the anonymous administrator wrote.

How to remove the comment button from posts from channels
In the September update of Telegram version 7.1, the channels have comments. Later Pavel Durov promised that this fall it will be possible to attach a chat to the channel without including comments.
At the moment, posts have several options to turn off comments:
— Unlink chat while posting.
— Delete a post in the chat, and the comment button will disappear (so you can delete all posts that are repost in the chat to remove comments from all posts).
— Add inline buttons to the post, for example, by @like bot or any other bots.

💡 How to enable View Replies/Thread on a Private Group and keep it PRIVATE
(As we know that this feature is available for groups that linked to a channel only)
1️⃣ Create a private channel
2️⃣ Open Channel settings > Edit > Discussion > select your group chat
3️⃣ Done.
Try to reply a message in your group chat, now you should see View Replies/Thread on the message menu.
Examples:
• View Replies from here
• View Thread from here
ℹ️ Notes
• Keep the channel private and empty (it just a dummy channel): no post, no admin/subscriber, and no need to share the channel link.
• Link & unlink channel to a group chat can be done by: owner and admin that has 'Change Channel Info' right.
