Muhammad preached against pre-Islamic Arab culture, mocked pagan gods, and disrupted the established order, which is why the pagan Arabs persecuted him. Muhammad was schizophrenic and hallucinated. He probably also suffered from religious psychosis, which is why he considered himself the chosen and last prophet of God. In addition, he lived in an environment full of different religions and cultures and was a traveling merchant. At first, the Arabs were against his new message, but over time he gained more and more support and followers who were warlike until he had the power to conquer all Arab territories. Islam enabled Mohammed to be a divine authority and to rule. He was revered and admired. According to the Quran, Muslims are only allowed to have four wives, but Muhammad was allowed to have as many as he wanted. Muhammad invented Islam to fulfill his desires, gain political power, and be revered.
Muhammad was a traveling merchant; he encountered Zoroastrians (Zoroastrianism was the state religion of Iran, which bordered Arabia, at the time of Muhammad), he met Gnostics, Manicheans, and esoteric Jews—all of these groups existed in Arabia during Muhammad's time. The Quran bears many similarities to Gnostic gospels, Manichean hymns, and Jewish Merkava mysticism. Muhammad heard stories and mixed everything he heard, thus creating Islam in order to gain political power. Muhammad's goal and the goal of his followers was a religion that would unite all Arab tribes, simple and clear, so that they could subjugate all non-Arab peoples.

The Safiyya story, which no one can sugarcoat. Imagine: after the conquest of Khaybar (not Banu Qurayza, that was the previous massacre), the Jewish women end up as spoils of war for the Muslims. The most beautiful among them? Safiyya bint Huyayy, whose father, brother, and husband Kinana had just been executed—Kinana after torture, because he had allegedly hidden treasures. A Sahabi, Dihya al-Kalbi, grabs her as his share. But oh wonder: the followers praise her before Muhammad as "the queen of the Banu Nadir and Qurayza." The Prophet? He "exchanges" her for seven female slaves. Safiyya converts (choice under duress? Classic), is released – and that same evening (or at most one day later) she ends up in Muhammad's tent. No waiting period, no mourning period, straight into action. According to the Quran (Sura 2:234), widows would have had to wait four months, but Prophet's Privilege, right? And the punchline? Outside the tent: Sahabi Abu Ayyub with a sword in his hand, standing guard all night. Why? Because he "was worried that Safiyya – newly widowed, family wiped out – would attack the Prophet." . Mohammed just laughs: "Well done, brother!" Romance level: Stockholm syndrome on steroids.

You can find this gem in Sunni classics such as Sahih Bukhari (5:59:371), Sahih Muslim (8:3329), and Tabari (Vol. 39, p. 185). Shia sources (e.g., Wikishia) tone it down—no exchange, direct marriage after conversion—but the core facts (capture, quick marriage) match. Moral of the story? In the early days of Islam, "halal" was flexible—as long as it was about booty and bed.

It is narrated on the authority of Ibn 'Umar ('Abdullah b. 'Umar) that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) observed:

Verily Islam started as something strange and it would again revert (to its old position) of being strange just as it started, and it would recede between the two mosques just as the serpent crawls back into its hole.

وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الأَعْرَجُ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ بْنُ سَوَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعُمَرِيُّ - عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِنَّ الإِسْلاَمَ بَدَأَ غَرِيبًا وَسَيَعُودُ غَرِيبًا كَمَا بَدَأَ وَهُوَ يَأْرِزُ بَيْنَ الْمَسْجِدَيْنِ كَمَا تَأْرِزُ الْحَيَّةُ فِي جُحْرِهَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏

She said: How can I suckle him as he is a grown-up man? Allah’s Messenger smiled and said: I already know that he is a young man ‘Amr has made this addition in his narration that he participated in the Battle of Badr and in the narration of Ibn ‘Umar (the words are): Allah’s Messenger laughed.

[Sahih Muslim 8:3425] ‘A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hadhaifa, lived with him and his family in their house. She (i. e. the daughter of Suhail came to Allah’s Apostle and said: Salim has attained (purbety) as men attain, and he understands what they understand, and he enters our house freely, I, however, perceive that something (rankles) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa, whereupon Allah’s Apostle said to her: Suckle him and you would become unlawful for him, and (the rankling) which Abu Hudhaifa feels in his heart will disappear. She returned and said: So I suckled him, and what (was there) in the heart of Abu Hudhaifa disappeared.

Sexual relations between young boys and men were a practice which existed in ancient times and still exist today in countries like Afghanistan. Bacha Bazi is a practice in which men buy and keep adolescent boys (sometimes called dancing boys) for entertainment and sex. It is a custom in Afghanistan and in historical Turkestan and often involves sexual slavery and child prostitution by older men of young adolescent males. Pederasty in ancient Greece was a socially acknowledged relationship between an older male (the erastes) and a younger male (the eromenos) usually in his teens. It was characteristic of the Archaic and Classical periods.

The greatest Islamic scholars often referred to as the Salaf, used to encourage men to lower their gazes from the handsome youth, not to shake their hands,- as means to block triggering forbidden desires for them. They considered looking at them with lust as sinful-exactly like looking at women with lust. They all warned men and were afraid of being near young boys because they believed that young boys were more sexually attractive and tempting than female virgins.

Sufyan al-Thawri saw a beardless young man and he said:

"Take him out from here, because with every woman walks one demon (tempting people towards her) and with every boy walk ten demons."

"Don't sit with the children of the affluent, because their boys look like women and they are a bigger temptation than virgins."

"Imam Malik used to prevent beardless youth to enter his gatherings."
