Islam adopted elements such as daily prayers with ablution, prostration, and fasting practices, which were similar to those of the Manichaeans. Historical sources such as al-Biruni and ibn al-Nadim even note that Manichaeans saw Mani as the Seal of the Prophets, which Muslim authors later applied to Muhammad. The similarities are too great to be coincidental. Viewed intellectually honestly, Islam has borrowed heavily here, while branding other religions as false.
