Most people are unfamiliar with Manichaeism, as it is an extinct ancient Iranian religion. However, what is interesting about Manichaeism is that Islam copied it heavily and it shares many simmilarities with it. Mohammed borrowed heavily from Mani, the Iranian prophet from the 3rd century who lived three centuries before Mohammed, just a few hundred kilometers away in the Sassanid Empire. Mani claimed to be the last prophet of God, completing the messages of Jesus – just as Mohammed positioned himself as the seal of the prophets and said he was the last prophet, denying the Trinity and saying that Jesus was only a prophet, not the Son of God. Mani saw Jesus as a pure prophet, not as God or part of a Trinity, which he rejected, and preached against Christian theology. At the time of Muhammad, there were Manichaeans in the Arab region and it was a widespread religion in the Middle East, with ideas seeping in through trade and contacts. According to Islamic sources, Muhammad himself was a traveling trader and merchant. Islam adopted elements such as daily prayers with ablution, prostration, and fasting practices, which were similar to those of the Manichaeans. Historical sources such as al-Biruni and ibn al-Nadim even note that Manichaeans saw Mani as the Seal of the Prophets, which Muslim authors later applied to Muhammad. The similarities are too great to be coincidental. Viewed intellectually honestly, Islam has borrowed heavily here, while branding other religions as false.

Scientific wisdom from our favorite prophet

Sahih Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 537: Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said If a house fly falls in the drink of anyone of you, he should dip it (in the drink), for one of its wings has a disease and the other has the cure for the disease.

Practical advice from the "infallible" prophet: Instead of throwing out the contaminated insect and getting a new jar, spread the bacteria, viruses, and parasites evenly so that the "healing" can take effect.
Modern microbiology laughs about this: flies are walking carriers of disease (cholera, typhoid, dysentery), and no serious study confirms that a wing magically antidotes. The few desperate apologetic papers that seek to "prove" this are methodologically laughable and refute themselves.
