My dear CIFS students, your Exam Cook Leader has gone all the possible Official Sources and Offices regarding this MISCONDUCT & VIVA issues. ✨

Here is all the detailed answers for #FAQ I have extracted, clarified, summarized and wrote for you:

❓ What is the difference between VIVA and MISCONDUCT?

✔️A viva voce examination is defined as a set of oral questions that assesses skills and knowledge to check if students has submitted their own work. [9.1] You will shown your work with AI or plagiarism highlighted parts and will be asked questions to assure it's your work.
✔️Academic misconduct occurs when a student gains or attempts to gain an unfair advantage in assessment for themselves or others through improper means. It is considered misconduct regardless of intent; for example, plagiarism applies even without an intention to deceive, and intent normally does not affect the penalty. [10.34] You will be asked for all evidence materials.

❓ What happens in Misconduct/ Viva meeting?

✔️ Meetings will be conducted by at least two subject specialists and session recordings will be viewed by 3rd External Assessor to finalize the outcome.

❓ In how many days will I receive my final mark and can I appeal?

✔️ Outcome of Misconduct and Viva Panels is normally determined and sent to students in 10 days after considering all evidence provided by a student during a in-person meeting [10chart]. Yes, you can appeal after the final outcome is released by submitting a special form within 10 working days of the publication of the decision being
appealed and your appeal is received and answered in 5 days. [10.73; 10.76].

❓ Is there officially recognized way to prove that it's MY work?

✔️ There is no official individual way. You should come to the Misconduct meeting strongly prepared with all your evidence, you have only 1 chance to showcase all your evidence. If you are called for Viva, you will be asked only oral questions [9]

❓ What are the ways to prove it's my work?

✔️ Web Chrome history (the dates you indicated in your Reference list should match your Web history); Google doc or Word history; Outlook emails where you shared you CW file; and 7 other ways.

❓ How Misconduct/Viva influences my mark?

✔️ After meetings your evidence materials and oral explanations recordings will be carefully viewed and after 10 days [chart] your mark will range between 0 - pass mark - your original mark depending on the seriousness of the issue and the decision that the panel will reach.

❓ What assessors take into account when decreasing/keeping your mark?

✔️ 4 factors will be taken into account [10.69 i-iv]: Severity of Offence (e.g., AI use or Plagiarism is higher than 50%); Previous Offences (more severe if you have 'bad' history); Impact on Other Students; Weighting of Assessment task (more severe if it's Dissertation only, so do NOT worry too much).

❓ Am I cooked?

✔️ If it's misconduct case and if you really cheated using too much AI or plagiarized — yes dear. If not — do not worry, do not act as a victim, you will cook it.
