"Why I chose EcoFin?"

Disclaimer: This post is not designed to promote a particular faculty and does not persuade you to choose EcoFin. You may read my subjective decision-making process below and make your own personal decision.


Well, let me start my story♥️. As a scholarship student, I initially had a contract to study EcoFin at the beginning of the CIFS year. Later, however, I was given the opportunity to choose between EcoFin and Finance.🧡

I conducted in-depth research and realized that EcoFin is truly mine.🧡

EcoFin is like an entire tree, not just a branch. Some people consider this a disadvantage, as it can make the program more challenging. However, that very “difficulty” is what makes it engaging! By nature, I enjoy challenges, and I love conquering them successfully. EcoFin is about productivity. EcoFin is not only about numbers, it is logic, problem-solving. Economists are not people who simply calculate ready-made problems, but those who build them—who analyze markets, identify patterns, and determine whether a company is losing or winning, ultimately dictating the path of a company or a government. After studying it, my brain has become highly sensitive in terms of analysis, with improved cognitive thinking.  In terms of exams, they are straightforward if you are well prepared, have not missed any lecture or seminar, have solved all mock materials, and have followed the professor’s guidance. In terms of a career, you can find a good job regardless of the faculty you choose, because employment is all about your effort, research, and activeness. Therefore, I believe that building a strong career depends entirely on my dedication and striving.

Yes, EcoFin is difficult, that is a fact! But once you catch the flow (understanding all topics), you are perfectly good to go! And there is one more rule in this world: when you like what you do, no matter how hard it is, you truly enjoy it!
