Faculty Tips: Using AI Effectively and Responsibly in Your Studies 💡

Artificial Intelligence tools can be a great support for learning when used thoughtfully. Our Faculty members have shared practical tips to help you use AI in a way that strengthens your understanding and keeps your work academically honest.

Use AI to clarify concepts, generate study questions, summarise your own notes, and improve structure and language, but don’t use it to replace your thinking. Always check facts, verify sources, and make sure you can explain anything you submit in your own words.

❗️Remember: if you use AI, be transparent about how you have used it, as required by your module, and follow WIUT’s Academic Integrity and the Guidance for Students on the Use of GenAI rules. Treat AI as a learning assistant, not the author of your work.
