While many people compare the Israeli occupation to apartheid, the Israeli occupation is much, much bloodier.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission confirmed about 21,000 deaths altogether in South Africa between 1948 and 1994. The death toll since 2023 in Palestine alone—a much smaller population—is several times that.

While apartheid policies in South Africa imposed segregation, ethnic cleansing, and racially targeted violence, the Israeli government is intentionally pursuing genocide as state policy.

And all the bloodshed up to now is not enough—today, the Israeli voted to begin hanging prisoners.

Not to mention the ongoing bombardment and occupation of Lebanon.

This video captures the confrontations between demonstrators and DHS mercenaries at the ICE facility in Portland, Oregon during the March 28 No Kings demonstrations.

Demonstrators repeatedly forced open the metal gate of the ICE facility, which is guarded by federal agents who have been brutalizing Portland locals on a regular basis since mid-2025—including tear-gassing children.

Local and state police moved in to protect the facility, showing their complicity with ICE. Nonetheless, the demonstrators did not back down.

With US troops operating from hotels in the Mideast, it bears mentioning that the Israeli government's excuse for murdering tens of thousands of small children in Gaza was that they were in the vicinity of Hamas fighters.

That was a pretext for genocide, obviously. But the hypocrisy is still shocking.
