Evolution X was founded on March 3, 2019, and what started as a small project has grown into a large community of users, contributors, and maintainers.

The ROM is developed and maintained in our free time, and keeping everything running also involves server and infrastructure costs.

Our little ROM started as a Pixel Experience fork, just to satisfy Mi A1 users that wanted to have an option to enable the VoLTE icon as PE's main dev wouldn't allow it to be added.

What started as a simple modification has turned into a long and winding journey through harsh and unstable changes as Android keeps on evolving, one way or another.

Whatever happens, we will try our best to stay with you all.
