Today, 28 May, India’s External Affairs Minister, @DrSJaishankar, and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, @FaisalbinFarhan, took part in the Foreign Affairs Council in its Gymnich format in Cyprus.

Discussions focused on how to better coordinate responses to the geopolitical implications of the crisis in the Middle East. Ministers stressed the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which remains in a fragile state between war and peace.
