RT @andrii_sybiha: I had a productive and forward-looking meeting with @kajakallas on the margins of today’s informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers.
First, we focused on Ukraine’s path toward EU membership. Opening all negotiating clusters next month would be a strategic investment in a stronger and more secure Europe. Ukraine’s membership is about Europe’s security, strength, and geopolitical role in the new turbulent reality.
We also discussed the evolving battlefield dynamics and Ukraine’s growing initiative. As Russia fails to achieve its strategic goals, Europe must move faster and act more decisively.
This is the moment for Europe to turn its political and economic leverage into concrete decisions that strengthen our common security. The time has come to use this strength fully.
Particular attention was paid to increasing pressure on Russia through stronger sanctions, the use of frozen Russian assets, and further strengthening Ukraine’s defence capabilities.
Our joint assessment is clear: Russia will stop this war only when the cost of continuing aggression becomes unbearable.
I also stressed that Europe’s role in peace efforts is becoming increasingly important. A lasting peace cannot be built on hesitation, artificial compromises, or outdated ideas of spheres of influence.
This war has already changed all of us. Europe is becoming stronger, more resilient, and more aware of its geopolitical responsibility. Now is the time to use this strength to bring peace closer.

RT @andrii_sybiha: Ukraine has cards. Europe has cards. We have a strong hand. It is time to play it.
Tonight in Limassol, I addressed my EU colleagues at the informal Gymnich dinner.
As the dynamics of the war are shifting and Ukraine’s asymmetric strategy is bringing results, this is the moment for Europe to step in with real strength and bring peace closer — as a complementary effort to the main U.S.-led track.
We should start with precise, doable steps: an airports or seaports ceasefire, the return of civilian detainees, the demilitarization of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, or a humanitarian corridor to occupied Oleshky in the Kherson region, where people have been suffering for weeks without food, water, and medicine.
We do not need to start by choosing a person or a group to lead the effort. We need to clarify the mandate — and it must represent one united European voice.
Europe has the leverage to achieve tangible results — sanctions and frozen Russian assets, for starters.
Tonight, I also called on colleagues to act now and open all six negotiation clusters for Ukraine in June. Our people need and deserve this recognition. Ukraine needs the EU — and the EU needs Ukraine.
Right now, our new and promising bilateral dynamic with Hungary opens a window of opportunity. We cannot afford to miss it.
Last but not least, I thanked my colleagues for standing firm in the face of Russia’s threats against foreign diplomats in Kyiv. This intimidation might have worked years ago. Not anymore.
Europe has changed.
Europe has leverage.
Europe must act.

RT @EP_President: Loved spending time, discussing and listening to European tech leaders and operators based in Silicon Valley.
It was important to hear their experiences and perspectives on how Europe can become more competitive, support startups to scale, and help companies grow - and what we can do to keep attracting talent to the EU.
We will keep flying Europe's flag high 🇪🇺
