International cooperation in maritime sanctions compliance is essential to avoid fragmentation, which only serves to empower bad actors.
It is an honour for @MFTmalta to welcome compliance officers, registry authorities and key partners from across the world, for the first Meeting of Shipping Registry Compliance Officers, hosted by the Valletta-based Global Centre for Maritime Sanctions Monitoring, in partnership with @UNODC.

During a visit to Nicosia, President Metsola and EP political group leaders laid the groundwork for effective cooperation ahead of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council from 1 January 2026.
On 1–2 December, the #CJEU welcomed around 150 judges from across the EU for its annual Meeting of Judges.
Working sessions, workshops on recent case law and a Grand Chamber hearing made for a rich exchange between the Court and national judiciaries. ⚖️🇪🇺
