RT @Svyrydenko_Y: Today, I took part in the first Sanctions Summit, which brought together representatives of EU partner nations, the European Commission, and Ukraine. We focused on coordinating our next steps to strengthen the sanctions coalition in response to increased Russian aggression.
Our efforts are already producing tangible results. This month alone, Russia’s oil and gas revenues are expected to fall by 35% compared to last year.
Sanctions are effective only when our decisions are fast, coordinated, and politically brave. Restrictions must continually be upgraded to close loopholes and prevent evasion. This process must continue, and we expect the 20th sanctions package in the near future.
I also underlined the importance of using Russia’s frozen assets for Ukraine. Russia must pay a high price for its aggression. We look forward to an upcoming decision by the European Commission on the Reparations Loan mechanism, based on these assets. I am grateful to hear that our partners fully share this position.
