Video showing people running away after being shot by unidentified gunmen during a communal reconciliation event in Amaro Woreda in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR) on March 9, 2021. Eight people were killed including a regional govt official.

The Govt blames the attack on the OLA however the OLA doesn't operate in the SNNPR and is often used as a scapegoat by the govt for multiple incidents across the country. The region has a history of intercommunal violence and its likely the gunmen were armed villagers

OLA has ambushed an ENDF unit somewhere in Western Oromia, killing a few soldiers and capturing one (possibly defected?). Many small arms were also captured

Another massacre video has emerged from Tigray. A group of young men were executed and left to rot in the vicinity of a place called Saharti Samre. Locals can be seen mourning. The bodies of the victims are clearly in early stages of decomposition
