Hitler Draws the Predicted Evil.

Franz von Stuck drew the above in 1889. It depicts the German pagan god Wotan leading a procession of the dead. The coincidence here is that it was painted the year Hitler was born, leading some to believe that the painting foretold Hitler. It is said to have been one of Hitler's favorite paintings in later years. The figure of Wotan in this dark work of art even closely resembles Hitler himself. This foreshadows, as legend has it, Wotan was the god of war who woke up and led the march of the dead across the country. Psychologist Carl Jung even linked Hitler to Wotan in 1936, saying that Wotan "awoke and resided not only in Hitler, but in the German people in general. This may all be a coincidence, but it is still pretty creepy.
