⁣عبارت روز: Make it

امروز قراره مفصل و کامل در مورد اصطلاح محاوره‌ای Make it صحبت کنیم. اصطلاحی که بارها در گفتگوهای روزمره و فیلم و سریال‌های مختلف می‌شنوید. گستره معانی این اصطلاح زیاده و ما قراره فقط به خود این اصطلاح بپردازیم و نه اصطلاحاتی که با Make it ساخته میشن (مثل Make it work یا Make it big و ...).

اصطلاح Make it دو معنی رایج داره:
1- به موقع در محلی حاضر شدن / رسیدن / حضور رساندن
2- موفق به انجام کاری شدن

گفتیم این اصطلاح می‌تونه به معنی "به موقع در محلی حاضر شدن" باشه. برای مثال:

Did you make it home in time to clean up before your wife got home?
"دیشب تونستی به موقع برسی خونه تاهمه جا رو تمیز کنی قبل از اینکه زنت سر برسه؟"

پس Make it home یعنی به موقع به خونه رسیدن. یا مثلا دوست‌تون رو برای شام به منزلتون دعوت کردید. وقتی میرسه بهش میگید:
Oh, you made it!
"عه، رسیدین!"

ابتدا به چند مثل زیر توجه کنید و بعد تو پست زیر ادامه توضیحات مربوط به Make it رو دنبال کنید.

Example 1:

Did you make it home in time to clean up before your wife got home?
"دیشب تونستی به موقع برسی خونه تاهمه جا رو تمیز کنی قبل از اینکه زنت سر برسه؟"

Example 2:

We're going to have some friends over for dinner on Saturday. We'd love it if you could make it
"ما قراره روز شنبه چندتا از دوستامون رو برای شام دعوت کنیم. خیلی خوشحال میشیم اگه بتونید بیایید"

Example 3:

I can’t make it home for dinner tonight. I’m working
"امشب نمی‌تونم برای شام خودمو خونه برسونم. کار دارم"

Example 4:

Sarah was sick, but she managed to make it to work today
"سارا مریض بود اما تونست امروز سر کار بیاد"

نکته: Make it to work یعنی موفق بشی به موقع برسی سر کار. یا مثلا Make it to the meeting یعنی "به موقع به جلسه رسیدن (و دیر نکردن)"
