Todayβs topic is Imposter Syndrome, something that has been haunting me this summer. I recently started doing Codeforces and really diving into more on backend development. Some concepts were so tough to grasp that I would overthink, convince myself this path didn't suit me, and eventually stop learning.
Then, a few days later, Iβd get a burst of motivation, and the cycle would repeat itself. Every time I hit a wall with coding, it would mess up other things I was doing because I felt entirely incapable.
But here is what Iβve actually learned: encountering difficult concepts isn't a sign that you should quitβitβs proof that you are learning something new. It might take days to grasp a new topic, and that is completely okay as long as you stay consistent. Gradually, it sticks in your brain, and what once felt impossible starts to feel easy.
Thatβs why I highly recommend not backing down when you face a challenge. Just breathe, take your time with it, and keep going.

Itβs crazy how fast time flies. I have been on Telegram for almost six years, and I still remember how much our teachers hated it. They would tell our parents to ban it, and you could actually get punished for using it. Then the pandemic happened, and ironically, they made it a mandatory tool for all our schoolwork and that when I created this account. I really hated that time.

What if you could play a Begena without actually touching one?
I built a small web app that lets you play Begena using only the camera on your phone or computer.
The idea came to me after seeing people use cameras to create musical sounds with hand movements. I wanted to try making something similar with one of EOTC's instruments.
So I gave it a shot.
The app tracks the hand and detect finger movements. Each finger is mapped to a different Begena string, so by bending your fingers in front of the camera, just like you normally do, you can play the instrument in real time.
It uses MediaPipe for hand tracking, JavaScript for finger detection and Web Audio API to play the sounds. (I recorded each sound from my Begena)
Has 4 α αα΅s (α°ααα³ α΅ααΈααα΅α ααα α αα£α°α) all in D major for now.
