How to do READING COMPREHENSION (written responses)
Further to my previous post in which I explore the benefits of online tutoring, the attached PowerPoint presentation is an example of how I teach reading comprehension. As well as a demonstration, it is a useful learning exercise for any child preparing for 11 plus exams in which written responses are required (as opposed to multiple-choice). It should be viewed in SLIDE SHOW MODE and students should write their answer to each question before revealing what another student of their age has written. They can also view the mark scheme, my own example responses and useful tips & guidance.
