Common Mistakes in English
โโโ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ๐ง๐บ๐ธโโโ
Use Of The Wrong Tense
๐Using the infinitive instead of a finite verb.
โDonโt say : Sir, to go home to get my book ?
โ Say : Sir, may I go home to get my book ?
โโฟโโฟโโฟโโฟ
โญ๏ธ The infinitive simply names an action without reference to person, number or time .Therefore. I canโt make sense without the help of a finite verb .
โโโ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ๐ง๐บ๐ธโโโ
๐Mixing up the tenses .
โDonโt say : They asked him to be captain, but he refuses .
โ Say : They asked him to be captain, but he refused .
โโฟโโฟโโฟโโฟ
โญ๏ธ If you begin with a verb referring to past, keep the verb forms in the past . The same rule applies to tenses throughout a composition .

๐ฌ Ulysses has survived censorship, controversy and legal action, and even been deemed blasphemous, but remains an undisputed modernist classic: ceaselessly inventive, garrulous, funny, sorrowful, vulgar, lyrical and ultimately redemptive. It confirms Joyce's belief that literature 'is the eternal affirmation of the spirit of man'.
