⭕️ Afraid as an adjective means ‘feeling fear’.

🔰 We use it with:

1️⃣ of + noun
❗️ Are you afraid of the dark?

2️⃣ of + (-ing) form

3️⃣ a to-infinitive
❗️ If you don’t understand, don’t be afraid to ask.

4️⃣ a that-clause

〽️ When do we use afraid + infinitive (to climb, to say, to go, etc.)

📝 We use afraid + infinitive when we explain the fear itself.
