๐ฐIn Japan, all buildings ......... during the past decade are designed .......... powerful earthquakes. ๐
ฐ) building / withstanding ๐
ฑ) built / to withstand ๐) having built / to be withstood ๐
พ) to be built / having withstood โโโโโโโโโ #quiz #q17 #RealTeamโฆ
The answer is ๐ ฑ
1โฃ. We need a reduced passive clause here.
- Because the sentence was like:
๐นAll buildings which have been built during ...
- And it is reduced to:
โฆ๏ธAll buildings built
2โฃ. When we want to mention the reason of something we use the following words:
๐นTo
๐ธIn order to
๐นSo as to
โฆ๏ธSo the second blank should be filled with TO WITHSTAND
