As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my mind became a valuable ally.
Today I call this connection โ€œWISDOM OF THE HEARTโ€.

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing new worlds are born. Today I know THAT IS โ€œLIFEโ€!

I was on vacation in Yosemite and I decided to send a postcard to my friend, Elaine, who was on her own vacation in Europe.

Dear Elaine,

I arrived safely two days ago and Iโ€™m having the time of my life. I met some nice people here and weโ€™ve been keeping each other company. The weather has been ideal and weโ€™re off on another hike tomorrow. This is the life.

Wish you were here. I hope youโ€™re having as good a time as I am.

See you soon!

There's a lesson to be learned in everything you experience.
"On every thorn, delightful wisdom grows. In every rill a sweet instruction flows."

Everything you undergo teaches you a lesson. The question is: Do you have the courage to discover what lesson was taught? Are you brave enough to make use of the wisdom you gained?

Life can be really tough, especially in times of coping with setbacks and failures. But I know from experience: everything that happens teaches a lesson โ€“ whether you like the lesson or not. Often, it took me months to let go of the (ego-based) grief, self-pity, and anger about what had happened. But once that work was done it gave way to a reflective approach to discovering the valuable insights and wisdom that were taught.

Remember that this process takes a lot of time. Wise lessons might not immediately catch your attention, but they will come as very profound realizations once you are ready to comprehend them. With the insight that time provides, you will be able to accept the situation and be courageous enough to let go of anger and bitterness. Only then, with an impartial point of view, profound but wise lessons can be drawn from the things that happened to you, hence increasing your knowledge about the important wisdom about life.

๐Ÿ‘Œ I was about to + (verb)

โœ๐Ÿป When stating "I was about to" you are informing someone that you were going to do something, but another event prevented you from doing it. It is similar to 'I am about to' but the difference is that you will not do it any longer. Since you will not do it any longer, it becomes a past event. That is why we use 'was' instead of 'am'

๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป Here is an example conversionsation to help you understand.

A: Hi Mike. I need to ask you a favor.
B: Hey Bob. What do you need?
A: Can you drive me to the convenient store? My car is in the shop and we really need to get milk.
B: Sure. I can do that.
A: Were you in the middle of something? I don't want to bother you.
B: I was about to watch a movie, but that can wait.

โœ๐Ÿป In this case, he cannot say, "I am about to watch a movie", because he will not be watching it because he has to drive his friend. You use "I was about to" when you will not be doing something immediately because of some other event.

๐Ÿ‘‡๐ŸปHere are some examples:

๐Ÿƒ "I was about to go out."
๐Ÿƒ "I was about to go to dinner."
๐Ÿƒ "I was about to go to bed."
๐Ÿƒ "I was about to go to work."
