I want to help you guys out with phrasal verbs, I know phrasal verbs are a pain to learn. Ive got some phrasal verbs that you are not going to find in many dictionaries but we natives use them all the time. So To Mess up and Bugger up I'm sure many of you have heard to mess up If you mess something up it means you do it wrong or do it really badly, you can mess up a test, you can go on date and mess it up. So yeah bad luck if that happens If you say to bugger up it's a bit ruder not very rude but a bit ruder. You can even say bugger off- meaning go away, it's not polite but you can get away with it. I wouldn't say that to the Queen, to be honest. Like I buggered up my test or if you hurt yourself you could say I buggered up my leg at the gym last night. Very very common to use, very common indeed.
