🧠What is AEO?

The Asian Economics Olympiad (AEO) is one of the largest student economics competitions in Asia, open to high school students (Grades 9–12) interested in economics, problem-solving, and data analysis.

👥Team Requirements
• Participation is in teams, not individually.
• Each team must consist of a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 students.
• All team members must be high school students (grades 9–12).

🌍Who Can Join?
• While it’s called the Asian Economics Olympiad, students from all countries can participate.
• In 2024, participants came from Asia, Europe, Africa, and the USA.
• Your team does not need to be from a single school or region — international teams are allowed.

🗓Format of the Olympiad
There are two stages:
1. Round 1: Individual Stage
• Part 1: Open-ended economics questions (2 hours)
• Part 2: Multiple-choice questions (1 hour)
• Submitted through Google Forms
2. Round 2: Team Stage
• Top 15 teams from Round 1 move forward
• Teams receive a business case and have 24 hours to prepare a solution
• Solutions are presented live via Zoom to a panel of judge.
