Designation : Agriculture Engineer (Hydroponics)

Location : Muscat, Oman



Description:

We are looking for a skilled Hydroponic Agriculture Engineer. You will be responsible for overseeing the greenhouse farm production and management of a team of farm supervisors.

The goal is to contribute to sustaining and growing our business to achieve long-term success.



Responsibilities:

Overseeing greenhouse farm production; Both Leafy and Fruity vegetables.

Handle all the requirements of plants in terms of water, nutrients, temperature, humidity, light and pest.

Planning of fertigation, irrigation, drainage, and water-control systems;

Supervising all aspects of the production and delivery of agricultural products from seed to table.

Managing a team of farm supervisors; and Growers.

Creating a production plan and implementing that plan based on the best regional practice;

Must have in-depth knowledge of general agricultural procedures.

Should have a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in the same field. (Hydroponics or Aquaponics)



Requirements:

-Degree in Agriculture or work experience equivalent working in Vegetable Production 1.5+ years;

- Must have a BSc/MSc education.

-To promote products such as: field instruments/ PLC& SCADA/ Fire& gas detectors/ speed control systems for steam and gas turbines as well as for engines.
-To promote the company activities such as installation/ commissioning/ troubleshooting.
-To establish new accounts and identify new potential clients in different sectors.
-To be sure that the company is registered in the vendors lists of the clients.
-To achieve the annual sales target.
-To prepare offers and tender documents.
Qualifications
-B.Sc. in engineering, in automation/ electronics/ power ONLY.
-Previous sales experience 4-8 years, preferred in instrumentation field.
-Presentable.
-Negotiation skills.
