IDF strikes additional petrochemical site in Iran, among last producing ballistic missile components
After striking two petrochemical facilities that were responsible for 85% of Iran's petrochemical exports, the IDF said it struck another compound in Shiraz which was "one of the last remaining sites used for producing critical chemical components for explosives and other materials for developing ballistic missiles."
The site produced nitric acid, which is "a critical material used in the production of explosives and other critical materials for producing ballistic missiles. In doing so, the IDF further degraded the regime’s military capabilities, particularly its production of weapons relying on the components produced in the facility," the military said.
"Simultaneously, the IDF struck a large ballistic missile array site in northwestern Iran. From this site, ballistic missile array operatives launched dozens of missiles toward the State of Israel."
