چه قدر خوب است که برای تاسف خوردن به حال خودمان نیز زمان مشخص و محدودی در نظر بگیریم. چند دقیقه اشک بریزیم و بعد به استقبال روزی برویم که در پیش رو داریم
موری به طور تمام وقت روی صندلی چرخدار می نشست. و با این حال پر از فکر بکر و نکته بود. مطالبش را روی هر چه به دستش می رسید یادداشت می کرد.
باورهایش را به رشته تحریر در می آورد. درباره زندگی در سایه مرگ می نوشت :
«آن چه را می توانید انجام دهید و آن چه را نمی توانید بپذیرید» 
«بپذیرید که گذشته هر چه بوده گذشته، گذشته را انکار نکنید» «بیاموزید تا خود و دیگران را ببخشایید» 
«هرگز خیال نکنید فرصتی از دست رفته است»

then I put him back,
but he's singing a little
in there, I haven't quite let him
die
and we sleep together like
that
with our
secret pact
and it's nice enough to
make a man
weep, but I don't
weep, do
you?
