💬 We called a meeting in connection with the 25th anniversary of the NATO aggression against sovereign Yugoslavia, the consequences of which continue to influence the degradation of the situation in the Balkans. Contrary to the cynical statements of our Western colleagues, this is not a "historical" issue at all.
The situation in Kosovo remains on the agenda of the UN Security Council and is being actively discussed. It is well known that lately, the situation there deteriorated dramatically. In order to understand how to establish lasting peace on Serbian soil, it is necessary to talk about the true causes of the current escalation.

🇷🇺🤝🇳🇦 The Hon. Dr. Peya Mushelenga, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation today held extensive and fruitful talks spanning 3 hours with the H.E. Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The two Ministers welcomed the existing warm, fraternal ties between Namibia and Russia and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation for mutual benefit.
The talks also discussed pressing matters of international concern, wherein the two Ministers emphasized the need for just and lasting solutions to amongst other the questions of Palestine and Western Sahara.

💬 We agreed that bilateral ties going back to the uncompromising struggle of the Namibian people for self-determination are expanding and rooted in friendship and mutual affection between our peoples. March 2025 will mark the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations which were established on the day Namibia’s independence was proclaimed.
🌐 We are satisfied with the level of political dialogue between our countries. We maintain regular contacts, and our dialogue is expanding into new areas. We welcomed the stepped-up contacts between the parliaments and parties of the two countries, as well as the intensified exchanges between ministries and agencies, including the foreign ministries, which rely on the foundation of the long-standing and well-functioning plan of consultations.
