Dear representatives of the universities of the world,

I am sending this email to you as a member of the Iranian academic community inside Iran.

After the brutal murder of the 22-year-old woman named Mahsa Amini by the so-called "hijab police" in Tehran on September 16th, the people of Iran have risen again. They are voicing their rage and anger towards the 44-year rule of the Islamic regime that has no means of survival except violence, persecution, oppression, murder, and corruption. Iranians are filling the streets of every village, town, and city in Iran with one common demand; they don't want the Islamic regime anymore. Rallies were being held on October 1st in more than 150 cities worldwide to show solidarity with protests inside Iran.

Different parts of society, including academics, are trying to demand their basic human rights through peaceful methods such as professors refusing to teach, students not attending classes, gathering on the university campus shouting slogans, protest sit-ins on the university campus, etc.
However, violence against students and professors is spreading in a heartbreaking way. They are oppressed and threatened in their universities, and many have been arrested and kept in unethical circumstances. On October 2nd, students at Sharif University of Technology located in Tehran, as the Number 1 Technical University of Iran according to Shanghai Ranking 2019, were under attack by the government forces. Many of them have been severely beaten and arrested. Up to now there is no news regarding the situation of those detained during the raid. Sharif University is only one of the universities in the country where the massive attack by the regime's forces has made the news worldwide owing to its reputation.

We ask you to use your voice and position to react against the suppression of academics in the Iranian universities. Write on your websites, to your colleagues, and to Iranian universities. Express your condemnation and objection against this suppression, arrest, and threat of academic's lives by the Islamic regime. We ask you to stand on the right side of history in solidarity with the Iranian people's call for freedom.

درخواست تحریم تیم ملی فوتبال جمهوری اسلامی از فیفا

این روزها در حالیکه تعداد زیادی از هم‌وطنان مادر خیابان‌های ایران کشته می‌شوند، تقریبا هیچ صدایی از اعضای تیم ملی فوتبال ایران شنیده نمی‌شود. این تیم چطور می‌تواند نماینده‌ی ملت ایران باشد؟ وقتشه به فیفا ایمیل بزنیم و درخواست کنیم که این تیم رو به جام جهانی راه ندن، همون‌طور که تیم ملی روسیه رو از همه‌ی تورنومنت‌های بین‌المللی حذف کردن. اما با چه استدلالی؟ این‌که فدراسیون فوتبال ایران به تعهدش عمل نکرده و زن‌ها رو به استادیوم راه نداده یا اگر راه داده، خیلی محدود و گزینشی عمل کرده.
و در ادامه نوشتیم که این رژیم، جنایت‌کاره و مورد پذیرش مردم ایران نیست و مردم خواهان تحریم و عدم پذیرش و عادی‌سازی این حکومت هستن.

Depriving Iran National Football Team From FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022

To whom it may concern,

As you may know, while many Iranian women are real fans of football, they are not allowed to go to stadiums to watch football matches. The Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran has already promised several times to let women go into the stadiums, however, they have not kept their word in m of cases. In some cases, they allowed only a limited and already selected women to watch the matches but it's not still available for all Iranian women. That's because the Football Federation of the Islamic Republic of Iran is under direct control and influence of the government which is against the non-interference rule (third-party interference rule) of FIFA that clearly prohibits interventions or interferences in the working of member associations that can compromise their independence. I hereby request FIFA to impose sanctions on Iran’s football national team and deprive them of participating in FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as soon as possible. Otherwise, the Iranian government doesn't let women enter stadiums and watch football matches, after the end of the champions. Their deep hatred of women is now obvious, looking at their brutal actions against Iranian women in recent days.

Another concern of mine, as an Iranian, is Iran’s current critical situation. As you might have heard, after the brutal murder of “Mahsa Amini” under the custody of the morality police of Iran with the accusation of improper hijab, protests against Iran’s Islamic Regime are happening in Iran and all over the world. People, especially women who have been oppressed for 44 years, are coming to the streets, chanting “women, life, freedom.”
But Iran’s Regime is beating, killing, and imprisoning many of the protestors, besides committing many other crimes in and outside the country. The Regime is also trying hard to show a normal picture of itself to the world, including projects to show a free picture of Iran while they are suppressing people at the same time. And having a soccer team in the world cup could work as part of this normalization of the propaganda of Iran’s Islamic Regime. That’s why I believe depriving Iran’s national football team could be an important option, not the help their propaganda and criminal actions.

گزارش استفاده‌ی ابزاری جمهوری اسلامی از کودکان به عنوان نیروی سرکوب به سازمان یونیسف

یکی از جنایاتی که این بار جمهوری اسلامی به طور گسترده بهش دست زده، استفاده از کودکان برای سرکوب مردم هست که برای سلامت روان و همچنین جسم اون کودک(اصابت تیر نیروی سرکوبگر به خودی در درگیری‌های نیروهای مزدور با مردم) خطرناکه. از طرفی نماینده‌ی یونیسف در ایران خانم مهتاب کرامتی هست که هیچ‌گونه واکنشی نشون نداده.

Reporting Recruitment of Child Soldiers by Islamic Republic of Iran

As you may know, protests in Iran began some days ago after the sad murder of Iranian innocent girl, Mahsa Amini, which was killed by Iran brutal regime. Now, Iran regime has started to use children as soldiers in a large scale to suppress the protesters. As you know, using children in army forces is against rule.136 of international humanitarian law (IHL) which clearly states that "Children must not be recruited into armed forces or armed groups". Apart from that, under the Statute of the International Criminal Court, “conscripting or enlisting children” into armed forces or groups constitutes a war crime in both international and non-international armed conflicts. I hereby request UNICEF as the main mechanism of United Nations responsible for children, to stop Iran regime from doing such a terrible actions against children and against humanity and make them responsible for their crisis.

I noticed on social media that you are hosting an event about the Iranian Women's revolution on Oct 18 with Negar Mortazavi as speaker, presumably as an expert or representative of the voice of the Iranians. I thought I'd write and ask for a reconsideration of this scheduling, since this person is considered a well known supporter of the Islamic Republic regime in the US Media and considered on the enemy's side by the majority of the Iranians. Having her represent the women who are bravely defending their rights by risking everything they've got, would be quite disrespectful to their courage and aspirations to say the least.

Negar Mortazavi's track record clearly shows her political siding have always been aligned with the Islamic Republic's interests; from supporting lifting sanctions against the regime to justifying regime's brutality and corruption. She has been misleading the media and spreading the Islamic Republic propaganda wherever possible. Her deep ties with the so-called Reformist wing of the Islamic Republic, including high ranked regime officials such as the IR Foreign Minister, Javad Zarif, is clearly evident in public records. At this point in the Iranian history, when the people of Iran have finally found the unity, courage and motivation to seek their freedom by overthrowing the brutal Islamic Republic, their agents and propaganda machine are activated across North America and European countries to influence the media and help the government contain and suppress the revolution. Unfortunately the funding, lobbying, networks and all other resources provided by the regime gives these groups a lot of voice and reach across the Western media and elite organizations to mislead the Western public opinion from people's actual movement and aspirations.

On behalf of the Iranian community, I would like to humbly ask you to listen to the Iranian voice on social media and other public spaces to find who is actually a better representative for people's voice in this upcoming and the future events. Giving voice to the Islamic Republic agents in your esteemed organization would not only be prohibitive for your audience to learn about the reality, but also counter-productive for the Iranian people on the streets seeking support from other countries to achieve their freedom. A simple Twitter poll asking Iranian’s own opinion with a few options from Iranian-American elite women could be a very straightforward solution.

Den Iranske politiska aktivisten och journalisten Hosseien Ronaghis liv är i fara.
Medan den största kvinnorevolutionen äger rum i Iran och mer än tusentals människor har fängslats och hundratals människor båda unga och gamla och barn har dödats av regimen. Hossein Ronaghi är en Iransk politisk aktivist och journalist som alltid har varit folkets röst.
Hossein Ronaghi arresterades  själv för 19 dagar sedan av regimagenter  och fördes till en okänd plats .
Hossein Ronaghis advokat sade i sin senaste kontakt med  Hossein Ronaghis familjen att Hossein har startat en torrfoderstrejk.
Enligt hans advokat  Hossein Ronaghi  bröts båda sina ben under tortyr i regimens fängelse. Trots Hossein Ronaghis tillstånd regimens agenter och fängelse ansvariga vägrar att överföra honom till sjukhus för vidare vård.
Hosseins advokat greps också efter den senaste kontakten med familjen.
Eftersom Hossein Ronaghi har redan sedan tidigare förlorade en av sina njurar under  många års fängelse och tortyr. Nu är hans liv är i stor fara.
