Tesla is taking deposits of up to $250,000 for its new Roadster, recently shown pulling off aerial stunts. But the company makes no promises about when—or even whether—the car will be delivered.

According to the agreement, the deposit only reserves an approximate spot in the order queue. The final price is still unknown, and the deposit is refundable if you cancel before configuring the car. A quarter-million dollars for “we’ll keep you posted.” 😂
