😇 Richard Heart reportedly detained in Istanbul

Turkish media report that Richard Heart, founder of HEX and PulseChain (PLS), was detained in Istanbul alongside his wife. His legal name is Richard James Schuler.

Finland issued an Interpol Red Notice for Heart in 2024 over allegations of large-scale tax fraud. Authorities reportedly seized $600,000 in cash, along with weapons, jewelry, computers and other equipment.

In 2023, the SEC accused Heart of defrauding investors. The case was dismissed in 2025 after the agency said it lacked jurisdiction. HEX and PLS are down 30%.

An investor bought $5.2 million worth of Bitcoin near the market low, eventually gaining $1.38 million. But last week, hackers drained the Ledger wallet holding the BTC.

They could have put some of the funds into Bybit futures and used the rest to buy a home. Instead, they bought Bitcoin on the spot market and transferred more than $5 million worth to a Ledger wallet.

JUST IN: 🚨🚨💰 OpenAI says one of its AI agents took funds from an Ethereum testnet wallet it found online.

The agent discovered a publicly shared recovery phrase for a wallet holding testnet funds, then used the account to pay for its task without the owner’s permission.

The incident took place on Ethereum’s Sepolia test network.

🔈 Ledger Introduces a Smartphone-Inspired Crypto Wallet

Ledger Atom looks like a smartphone and runs Android apps, but it isn’t designed for calls. Crypto transactions are signed in a separate secure environment, and a physical switch disconnects the camera and microphone from power.

With spyware concerns on the rise, Ledger says its tamper-detection sensors keep working even when the device is off. These claims have not yet been independently verified. The Founder’s Edition starts at $849, increasing to $899, with deliveries expected in summer 2027.

Starknet has opened a 7-day advisory vote on whether to evolve from an L2 into an independent, quantum-resistant L1.

STARK proofs are already in use, and accounts can switch to quantum-resistant signatures without a protocol upgrade. A standalone L1 would also remove Starknet’s reliance on Ethereum for bridges and data availability.
