Kraken is in negotiations to buy a 15% stake in Aave at a $385 million valuation. The proposed deal includes 35,000 ETH in exchange for 250,000 AAVE tokens and 15% of Aave Group’s shares—worth approximately $71 million—with part of the investment set to be syndicated.
Earlier this year, Aave faced a major exploit where attackers minted $292 million in uncollateralized rsETH, drained real assets, and left behind a debt hole of $190–230 million.
Following news of the potential deal, the AAVE price surged 9%.
