So, maybe you wanna know a bit more about the person behind this channel. 🀍

I'm a high school student, moving to Year 13 soon, and I'm always down to learn new stuff. I've messed around with coding and cybersecurity, tried my hand at video editing, and spent time learning different languages. Plus, I've picked up a bunch of other skills and interests along the way, 'cause apparently, one just isn't enough for me 😁

But no matter what, when I think about what I really want to dive into, I always come back to medicine 🩺

I even got to spend some time in a hospital, helping out doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, which gave me a real close-up look at healthcare. I've also taken first aid classes, and honestly, I think everyone should know basic first aid. In an emergency, the first person who can help isn't always a doctor or nurse, sometimes it's just the person right there.

That constant curiosity...and wanting to share what really matters..is exactly why I started π‘¬π’π’Šπ’™π’Šπ’“ ✨

I wanted a place to document my journey. Not just the medicine stuff, but all the cool skills I'm picking up, the random things I'm learning, and the useful opportunities I find that might help you guys too. Think of this channel as a shared notebook for anyone else who just loves to figure things out and can't stick to just one thing.

Glad to have y’all here at the very beginning of it all, hope you have a lovely Monday ✌️

guys, did you know you're actually 1–2 cm taller in the morning? πŸ“

While you sleep, the discs between your vertebrae rehydrate and expand a little. Then gravity slowly compresses your spine throughout the day.

so.. basically, morning is the best time for short people to check their height πŸ‘€ 😁

This training is genuinely one of the few I recommend without hesitation! I took the first round class and it was worth it.
It was practical, interactive, never boring, and I learned way more than I expected. Honestly, if I could take it again for the first time, I would.
I asked my instructor today, and they said a few people can still join if they register today, and there are different class times to choose from. I really don't want anyone who's interested to miss out!

You know that random sharp pain in your chest that appears out of nowhere and makes you freeze for a second?

Apparently, it's called precordial catch syndrome.
It's a sudden, sharp pain usually on one side of your chest. It can get worse when you take a deep breath and usually only lasts a short while before it's gone.

It feels scary when it happens, but it's usually nothing to worry about.

One of the mind's quiet abilities is adaptation.

Ironically, it's often hardest to believe in while we're still attached to what we're eventually capable of living without...

Picture this: It’s 1945, you’re stressed, and the doctor brings out an ice pick😬 Transorbital lobotomies were a real thing, and they were as terrifying as they sound.

I used to think I'd probably panic if I saw someone collapse.

But after learning CPR, I realized something... doing nothing is actually the worst thing you can do.

If they're unconscious and not breathing normally:
Call emergency services, put your phone on speaker or tell somebody to call one, and start pushing in the center of their chest, hard and fast. Don't stop until help takes over.

The fact that surprised me the most? Even if you hear a rib crack, keep going. A broken rib can heal. A heart that isn't beating won't restart on its own.

You don't have to be a doctor to save someone's life. Sometimes, just knowing what to do is enough. Just by doing the CPR properly for the person who collapsed, you increase his/her survival chance by 50%.

🧠 Fun fact:

Your brain is the organ that tells you when something hurts... yet it can't feel pain itself.

#MedicalFacts
Why do we forget why we walked into a room??? 😭

You walk in and suddenly you're just standing there like:

β€œWait… why am I here?”

Then you walk back and suddenly remember.

Apparently, changing rooms can change the mental context your brain is using, which can make it harder to remember what you were just thinking about.

And that's also why you might hear people say changing your study spot can help with remembering things, since your brain can connect what you learned with different places.

Now tell me I'm not the only one this happens to 😭
