π¨How I Hacked an Electionπ¨
Professor Halderman has been sounding the alarms on the touch voting machines for YEARS.
He testified to Congress about the 2016 and 2020 elections and all they did was throw more money to the states....with no security requirements.
In this video he demonstrates how easily the touch machines are hacked.
In Florida they will come back and scream that we use paper with optical scanners...But not in every county.
In Lee County, the 2022 election rolled out the new ES&S touch screens that the elections officials point to the bar code receipt that the MACHINE PRINTS OUT as a "paper ballot."
Don't be fooled.
A paper ballot is only one where a human marks the paper ballot...NOT THE MACHINE PRINTING THE SELECTIONS.
What stops them having the machines print as many ballots as they need then?

Why Electronic Voting Is Still A Bad Idea
Great overview from Tom Scott explaining why we should never trust electronic voting systems.
A lot of the so-called solutions like "risk limiting audits" or open source software, just move the problem...it does not solve the fundamental problem with trust and anonymity.
As an IT professional with over 2 decades of experience designing secure solutions, all I can recommend is going back to a single day for in person voting on a paper ballot which will be hand counted by a bipartisan team of YOUR NEIGHBORS in front of anyone who wants to observe.
Citizens need to tell the officials what the results were. Not sit back and wait for "officials" to tell us how OUR ELECTIONS went.

We can't leave ES&S out.
As we pointed out last month, the standards used in Florida as well as many other states to "certify" the equipment has not been updated in 19 years.
Here they hacked the high speed scanner used in most central tabulation centers.
People what to think that the scanners count the paper ballots..but that is not how any of these machines work.
The scanners make an digital image of the ballot and that digital image is what is being counted.
So all you have to do is change the way the paper ballots are scanned to change the digital images.
The officials will give you the digital images and say...SEE! THE MACHINE COUNTED THEM CORRECTLY!
But then watch them freak out when you ask to see the paper ballots to check if the digital images are correct.
All one big illusion.

The world is getting crazier by the minute. I've had a busy week with my day job. Looking forward to this weekend which will be dedicated to my volunteer job of fixing our elections. Happy Friday.

I just made a cash deposit at the bank. In person, with my photo ID.
First, I counted it by hand.
Then, the teller counted it by hand.
Then, the machine did a double check.
The overhead camera recorded everything.
Everybody trusts everybody.
Everything is transparent.
There is an audit trail.
How simple is that?
The people who want to make our elections complicated are either lazy, or they are the ones who want to cheat.
Keep it simple stupid.

I came across a failed bill from 2016 to ban illegal aliens from joining our military. Are they flooding the boarder and gutting the military so they can hire all the illegals and turn them on us after they steal another election and we push back?
Anonymous Poll
5%
No, would never happen.
15%
Hmm... I suppose it's possible.
77%
YES! That is EXACTLY what they are doing!
3%
There goes your wild imagination again.

When you look into the Divisions of Elections and Secretary of State (SOS) in Florida, you will be horrified to see how blatantly bad elections are being administered.
If this was the private sector these people would fired on site.
The local Supervisors of Elections are accountable to the people, but the SOS is the Sherriff managing all the elections in the state. THe SOS is accountable by statute to how our elections are being run.
Time for Byrd and Bush appointed Matthews to go and replace them with someone who actually cares to do the job of protecting Floridian's votes.
