The overthrow in Burkina Faso is about land. This is apart of the #ParisClimateAgreementExposed thread I did on twitter in 2020 (archived link below) Africa is being slashed and burned to make way for the new megafarms (mostly Chinese). These land-lease deals allow companies to come in and strip the land of every resource and leave it a barren wasteland.

Burkina Faso was the ONLY country in Africa that wasn't allowing these deals because of their "Rural Land Tenure Law" The one lease they had with SeedRock Africa Agriculture was canceled in 2013 because it jumped from 2000 ha to 13,000 ha
