Uranium one isn't about nuclear weapons, its about the nuclear fuel that will be used to generate power in all the coming fourth generation nuclear power plants.
The uranium and plutonium is being removed from the worlds nuclear arsenals to burn for power.
The plants burn the nuclear material completely so there is no waste and it falls under the guideline of the green laws they imposed.
The Boards of Regents Univ of California has the patents and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has the nuclear material and the contract to distribute to the new power plants when they come on line.
