Speaker Mike Johnson and other House GOP leaders on Wednesday morning will discuss their plan to advance President Trumpβs sprawling agenda.
The press conference comes as Republican lawmakers scramble to find a solution to internal division over the Trumpβs administrationβs tax and budget cut proposals after they were forced to punt a key vote this week β and as the Senate inches closer to moving ahead with its alternative plan.
The deadline to avert a government shutdown is March 14.
Johnson said last month that he plans to pass most of the presidentβs agenda by Memorial Day, or May 26.
Their remarks are scheduled to begin Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. EST.

The House Committee on Education and the Workforce is holding a hearing Wednesday morning to examine the state of education in the U.S., weeks after President Trump was sworn into the Oval Office for a second term.
Trump has issued a bevy of executive orders since returning to the White House, including actions to boost school choice programs and to defund schools that teach critical race theory. The president is also eyeing executive actions that would dismantle the Education Department β a threat that has already placed dozens of staffers on leave.
The event comes as Linda McMahon, Trumpβs nominee to lead the department, has yet to face a Senate confirmation hearing or a vote.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:15 a.m. EST.
