Consultation on WA Gene Technology Bill

Restricts Research & Industry Applications in Western Australia - HAVE YOUR SAY

DPRD is now inviting public submissions on the draft Gene Technology (W. Australia) Bill 2024.

Bill will replace the current Gene Technology Act 2006, which is out of step with the national Gene Technology Scheme a it does not apply the Commonwealth's Gene Technology Act 2000 as a law of Western Australia.

This restricts research & industry applications in Western Australia 👈

Once enacted, the Gene Technology (W. Aus.) Bill 2024 will enable W. Australia to participate fully in the national Gene Technology Scheme.
