Israeli Organ Trafficking Network Busted In Turkey

Police teams in Adana detained 11 suspects, five Israeli and two Syrian, on allegations of organ trafficking.

The Provincial Directorate of Security's Anti-Smuggling and Border Gates Branch began investigating after examining the passports of seven individuals who arrived in Adana from Israel about a month ago by plane. Two of these individuals, A.S. (20) and Z.M.Z. (21), both Syrian nationals, were found to have fake passports.

Further investigation revealed that Syrian nationals A.S. and Z.M.Z. had reached an agreement with Israeli nationals S.A.S. (68) and E.A.M. (28) for kidney transplants in Adana in exchange for money.

Following technical and physical surveillance, the police conducted an operation and apprehended the suspects, including the Syrians and Israelis.

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. has reached a settlement in class action lawsuit/allegations of market manipulation in  platinum & palladium markets that have lingered for a decade+.

GS & several other defendants, been in legal battles since 2014 over accusations of conspiring to manipulate the values of these precious metals.

According to filing on Friday, GS confirmed that it had reached  in-principle settlement to resolve the class action lawsuit, which originated from claims of collusion to manipulate benchmark prices for physical platinum and palladium. The agreement is still subject to final documentation & court approval, indicating that the resolution process is not yet fully concluded.

Lawsuit: alleged violations of antitrust laws by Goldman Sachs and other parties involved.

AstraZeneca has begun the worldwide withdrawal of its Covid-19 vaccine due to a “surplus of available updated vaccines” that target new variants of the virus.

The announcement follows the pharmaceutical company in March voluntarily withdrawing its European Union marketing authorisation, which is the approval to market a medicine in member states.

On 7 May, the European Medicines Agency issued a notice that the vaccine is no longer authorised for use.🥳

In a statement, AstraZeneca said the decision was made because there is now a variety of newer vaccines available that have been adapted to target Covid-19 variants. This had led to a decline in demand for the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is no longer being manufactured or supplied.

Pfizer Agrees to Settle 10,000+ Cases

Pfizer Inc. has agreed to settle more than 10,000 cases accusing it of hiding the cancer risks of its Zantac heartburn drug, according to people familiar with the deal, the biggest of the litigation.

The agreements cover cases in state courts across the US but don’t completely resolve the company’s exposure to Zantac claims, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they weren’t authorized to discuss the settlement publicly. Financial details of the accords weren’t immediately available.
