US Virgin Islands subpoenaed Musk, requesting docs for gov't lawsuit alleging JPMorgan benefited financially from Epstein’s sex trafficking operation.

Petition to serve doesn't implicate Musk wrongdoing, indicates that he was a high-net-worth individual whom Epstein may have intro'd to JPMorgan Chase.

The court filing from the US SDNY was posted Mon. The Virgin Islands’ gov't issued the subpoena on April 28 but had difficulty obtaining an address for Musk to locate and serve him, even hiring investigative firm.

“Gov't contacted Musk’s counsel via email, asked if he would be authorized to accept service on Musk’s behalf in the matter but didn't receive a response confirming or denying his authority,” filing said.

Subpoena's requesting all comms between Musk & JPMorgan ref. Epstein or any role he played in Tesla CEO’s financial mgmt. Also any docs regarding fees paid to Epstein or JPMorgan, or regarding Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.

Biden Scraps visit to Australia, Papua New Guinea to Focus on Debt Limit talks

Joe Biden said Tues he’s curtailing his upcoming trip to the Indo-Pacific, scrapping what was to be a historic stop in Papua New Guinea as well as a visit to Australia for a gathering with fellow leaders of the so-called Quad partnership so he can focus on debt limit talks in Washington.

The scuttling of 2 of 3 legs of the overseas trip is a foreign policy setback for an administration that has made putting a greater focus on the Pacific region central to its global outreach.

Biden said he still plans to depart on Weds for Hiroshima, Japan, for a Group of Seven summit with leaders from some of the world’s major economies. He will return to the U.S. on Sunday.

Biden Vetos Solar Panel Tariff Resolution
Protects China/His Interests Ignores American Interest

May 16 (UPI) -- President Joe Biden vetoed a congressional resolution Tuesday that would have restored tariffs on solar panels imported from Chinese companies in Southeast Asia, saying it "bets against American innovation."

Biden's veto supports last year's Commerce Department rule that suspended tariffs for solar panel products from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam for 24 months. The exemption will continue as planned through June of 2024.

"Passage of this resolution bets against American innovation. It would undermine these efforts and create deep uncertainty for American businesses and workers in the solar industry," Biden said in a statement Tuesday. "Therefore, I am vetoing this resolution."
