It brought back memories of how persistent I’ve been about ASUS phones—and just how much of a die-hard fan I’ve been.

The ASUS phones I still have on hand are as follows (listed in chronological order by release date):
1. Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL) w/Unlocked Bootloader
2. Snapdragon Insiders Phone (ZS675KW) w/Unlocked Bootloader
3. Zenfone 9 (AI2202) w/Unlocked Bootloader
4. ROG Phone 7 (AI2205_C) w/Unlocked Bootloader
5. ROG Phone 7D (AI2301) Cancelled project, but without an unlocked bootloader
6. Zenfone 10 (AI2302)
7.Zenfone 11 Ultra (AI2401_H)
8. Zenfone 12 Ultra (AI2501H)

ASUS has always held a significant place in my mind—after all, I don’t think many brands can consistently satisfy some of my more unusual requirements.
What initially got me into flashing ROMs and developing Android custom ROMs was the Zenfone 5 2018 (ZE620KL).
Later, I also picked up the Zenfone 5Z (ZS620KL).
This also introduced me to many developers overseas. I was able to exchange ideas with them, and I’m truly grateful that they were willing to guide me.

But as far as I know, the ROG Phone 10 (AI2601) was originally supposed to—or perhaps might have—been released. Engineering prototypes already existed, which makes it especially unfortunate that it ultimately became a cancelled project.
If one day it shows up in mainland China, I’ll find a way to get one no matter what—because this may end up being the final echo.

In the past, I used to take pleasure in collecting ASUS flashing packages for different models (Factory / CSC / user build / userdebug build / UL). Whether it was RAW packages or EDL 9008 unbricking packages, I could basically find them all in my collection.
In the future, I may only be able to go this far.

I hope that later on, I’ll still have the chance to unlock the bootloader on the other Zenfone / ROG Phone devices I have, and regain at least some control over my phones—so they don’t end up as electronic waste.
