Bitcoinβs latest surge is nearing a pivotal on-chain hurdle.
Glassnode has pinpointed a dense concentration of long-term holder supply between $83,000 and $86,000βa zone that could act as a major ceiling.
Notably, there's now more bitcoin in profit than during previous visits to this price range.
Back in May, when Bitcoin approached $78K, about 65% of circulating supply was profitable.
By late August, during the next retest, that climbed to 68%.
This doesnβt mean holders will dumpβbut it does suggest that for a sustained breakout to occur, the market must absorb a larger volume of profit-taking supply first.
Until then, consolidation or volatility near this zone remains likely.
