NEW: 🚨 BITCOIN MINING DIFFICULTY DROPS 10.09% — THE SECOND-LARGEST DECLINE IN 2026

At block 953,568, Bitcoin's mining difficulty was adjusted down by 10.09%, marking the second-sharpest drop this year.

This follows Bitcoin’s ~15% price pullback in early June, which narrowed miner profit margins and pushed some operators to power down older, less efficient ASIC models.

The adjustment eases pressure on active miners by reducing the computational work needed to mine new blocks—improving profitability and reinforcing network stability.

Meanwhile, the decline coincides with several mining companies reallocating infrastructure toward AI and high-performance computing, diverting energy and hardware away from Bitcoin mining operations.
