June has traditionally been one of Bitcoinβs toughest months
On average, BTC posts a -0.44% return in June, with 5 of the last 8 Junes ending in the red.
Only September fares worse historically, with an average loss of -3.08%.
This year isnβt off to a strong start either.
Bitcoin has dropped over 5% in the first two days of June, falling below the key $69k mark. The decline intensified after Strategy officially sold part of its BTC holdings β a striking move from a company whose chairman, Michael Saylor, once claimed it would be better to sell a kidney than sell Bitcoin.
The amount offloaded was small, but the timing couldnβt be worse for a market already struggling to regain footing.

Bitcoin dropped $5,800βmore than 8%βin just 48 hours after news emerged that Strategy sold only 32 BTC.
Traders are baffled. The amount is tiny compared to Strategyβs massive holdings, yet the market reacted as if the entire reserve was being liquidated.
This shows how fragile investor sentiment remains when corporate wallets are involved. Often, itβs not the size of the transaction that shifts pricesβitβs the narrative it creates. Right now, perception is stronger than reality.
Ironically, recent purchases of thousands of BTC barely registered. Yet the mere hint that 32 coins changed hands triggered a steep decline.
At this moment, the market isnβt reacting to fundamentalsβitβs reacting to headlines.
