Dear EdMap Family,
We have been getting a lot of questions about our scholarship guidance offers. The scholarship links we share on our channel are genuine that you can apply by yourselves. But, if you need professional guidance and help while applying, you can get our service by choosing one of our packages (Basic, Premium, Dreamer). And we would like to announce that we will be expanding our services very soon.

How to use LinkedIn as campus student to find jobs in Ethiopia.
LinkedIn is a popular social network for career development, but you don't have to wait until you enter the workforce to start taking advantage of this platform. University & college students can use LinkedIn to establish a professional online presence, which is important for getting jobs, internships and volunteer opportunities while still in school. Most private companies in Ethiopia have started to use LinkedIn to recruit and hire employees. So why not build your presence on it?
After downloading the app sign up and follow this steps
1. Add a photo to be instantly recognized
Your photo helps people recognize you and also gives your profile legitimacy, so don’t skip this step. It doesn’t need to be fancy but make sure you look professional.
2. Highlight your education and any experience you’ve got so far
List your education and the skills you’ve mastered on the way. No need to hold back list your major courses, scores, awards and more. Your experience section can include part-time positions & volunteer activities.
3. Use your Summary to show who you are.
Show some personality and share what you’re passionate about. The summary
section is the perfect place to do this.
4. Post updates and engage
Keep your LinkedIn profile fresh by regularly posting updates, sharing articles, and writing content on topics you know about, and see who’s seeing your posts .This can get you in front of the people who matter to your career path and start conversations.
5. Connect with people
You can request to be part of another LinkedIn user's network by clicking the connect button on their profile or next to their
information on the results page. You can also expand your network by using the ”People You May Know“ tool.
6. Search for jobs
LinkedIn will notify you when ever there is a job opening related to your search based on your location and other criteria. Consistency is key, keep your profile updated and keep making connections!

Part time jobs for campus students in Ethiopia
Part - 2 - Tutoring
Tutoring is one of the part time jobs campus students prefer to do.There are no formal educational requirements to become a part-time tutor, but you should be able to demonstrate your skills in the subjects you tutor. By knowing your tutoring skills and working on areas you can improve, you can introduce yourself as a qualified tutor. Even though it requires many skills, the major include having patience, communication skills and listening skills.
Step-by-step guide on how to start a tutoring job.
1. Know your target
You should decide on who you want tutor, this will benefit you on how to develop and shape your skills and knowledge. If you are great with helping kids, you should consider tutoring primary school students and if you are good with the upper levels, then secondary school student should be your choice.
2. Know what subjects and level of education you are capable of teaching
Instead of trying to tutor many subjects, develop your technical skills on specific subjects (2-3). For example preparatory students in the natural science stream may only need help on the major courses Physics, Math and Chemistry and for the social science stream can be Economics, History and Geography.
3.Market your self
Unlike the old days, you can get your customers online through agents. we recommend www.haletatutors.com because they provide you with customers based on your location. The other way you can get customers is through your social connections which can be a bit hard but doable.
Good Luck!
Stay tuned for part 3
