Amsale's remarkable achievements extend beyond this groundbreaking role. She holds the distinction of being the first female captain in Ethiopia to command the Boeing 767, 777, and 787 aircraft, demonstrating her exceptional skills and expertise.

Amsale's journey began in Bahir Dar, the capital of the Amhara Region in Ethiopia, where she was born. She later moved to Addis Ababa, the nation's capital, where she pursued her education.

Amsale attended Bole High School for her secondary education and Assai School for her primary education. Following her passion for architecture, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Addis Ababa University.

In 2010, Amsale achieved another milestone by piloting an Ethiopian Airlines Bombardier DHC-8-402Q400 from Addis Ababa to Gondar, becoming the first female captain in Ethiopia.

Her groundbreaking accomplishments have inspired many and paved the way for other women in the aviation industry.
