What’s going on in the world?

Pretty sure you have heard the word AI, Robotics or ChatGPT somewhere these days! But what’s all this controversy? What’s going on in the world?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

πŸ”…Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a robot controlled by a computer to do tasks that are usually done by humans because they require human intelligence. Although there are no AIs that can perform the wide variety of tasks an ordinary human can do, some AIs can match humans in specific tasks. This is why people are worried, robots with AI could replace jobs and leave people jobless. While it is true that AI has the potential to replace many tasks currently performed by human workers, it is unlikely that it will completely replace humans in the workforce because AI is still limited in its abilities and many jobs require human intelligence that can’t be replaced by machines.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

But what are the jobs that are going to be replaced by machines? Jobs that involve data entry, data analysis, and simple decision-making are among those most at risk of being automated. Let’s look at it more.

πŸ’‘Soldiers: Robots are submissive and require no supervision, making them perfect fit to the future military force. As an effective way to reduce military budget, robots are widely used for tasks concerning surveillance, intelligence, analysis, and many more.

πŸ’‘Doctors: It might sound like a movie to witness robotic surgery. However, surgical robots have successfully performed thousands of operations worldwide, mostly remote surgery. AI has ensured the operation is performed with precision, smaller incisions, less blood loss and pain, and faster healing.

πŸ’‘Manufacturing / Factory Workers: Workers in this sector probably experience the most fear that AI will take their jobs. To gain additional market share, manufacturers prefer AI-powered operation to meet the massive demand for different commodities faster, enabling workers to focus on more productive tasks.

Even though AI is replacing some careers, there are various kinds of AI jobs needing specific skills and experience.Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Developer and Robotics Engineer could be listed as the majors.

Graphics Design

Graphic design is sometimes called β€œvisual communications.” It is the selecting and arranging of visual elements to display a message to an audience. These visual elements include typography (letter design), images, symbols, and colors. So, to get started?

1.Learn and Understand Graphic Design Basics

You should use graphic design fundamentals to improve your visual communication
skills, learn more about the graphic design field, and get a better feeling of what it truly means to be a graphic Designer.Even simple things like applying color theory can dramatically improve the quality of your designs.Employers looking for graphic designers always want some kind of proof of your skill set, experience, and knowledge of basic principles.

2. Take Online Courses

There are tons of online resources that can help entry-level designers to develop your skills. You can also start taking graphic design courses online or pursue a graphic design degree. Some online courses offer a certificate once you complete it, which will be perfect for adding to your CV and LinkedIn profile to show off your graphic design proficiency.

3.Create an Impressive Portfolio

Your own online portfolio is a must-have. An online portfolio will make it easier to apply for graphic design job openings, land interviews, and get hired by various clients or companies for graphic design positions. It doesn't matter if you don't have a lot of work to showcase. The important thing is to have an online presence – you’ll build up your portfolio as you gain more experience and add more of your work.

4.Get Some Work Experience

Start by applying for entry-level positions. At this point, it doesn't matter whether it’s a paid job or an unpaid internship because the experience you’ll gain will be far more valuable to you in the long run. Even if you hold a degree in graphic design, getting some real-world experience through an internship or junior-level job is always recommended.

5.Stay Up to Date with Current Design Trends and Never Stop Learning

Graphic design is a constantly changing field that keeps developing and evolving every year. While this is a great thing, it also means that you, as a graphic designer, will have to keep up with the new trends that come up each year.
